Today we celebrated Maria's birthday. 

It's her 30th birthday on Wednesday the 21st of December.

 The cake she had baked was very, very tasty!

One day late

Yesterday it was Maria's 28th birthday.

Happy Birthday again ;-)

I didn't forgot Maria yesterday, I just forgot to tell the world that she had her birthday =))).

We celebrated Maria this last Sunday afternoon home at her place. She had made "Lussekatter" - Lucia cats - saffron buns and a lovely chocolate cake (Not the one on the picture, that one I've nicked someplace at the Internet).

I hope you had a wonderful day even though it was the shortest day of the year -The winter solstice.

Graduation Day for Maria

Today it's Maria's day. She's graduating from the florist school Ingvar Strandhs Blomsterskola. The course of study has ranged/gone over 40 weeks.
It's also Maria's name day according to the Swedish calender. Her second name after Maria is Karolina.
Congratulatins Maria to both your exams and your name day =)))))

This is Maria's My little Ponies and the Big Pony Castle. The picture was taken in May 1987. Maria was six years old and she loved her little ponies very, very much.

Yesterday, 14 February 2009 and Valentine's Day, Agnes was here for some hours. I thought that because she was here without her little meddlesome brother Tintin I could take out Aunty Maria's old My Little Pony Castle that Agnes hadn't seen before.
Agnes is just like her Aunty, she loves the small ponies and she almost knows all the ponies’ names.
Hour after hour little Agnes played with Majesty, Firefly, Megan and so on. I just know these names. Perhaps I should try to look on the Internet if I'm able to find out all the little ponies names, or perhaps Maria remember all their names. I think I'll ask her first.

Julstämning - Christmas Spirit

This Sunday, 16th, I went with Maria to look at the Christmas exhibition that Maria and her classmate’s hade put together the week before.
It's a show that the pupils at the Ingvar Stranhd’s Blomsterskola is arranging every year in November.

Yesterday, 19th, Anna celebrated her birthday. The 17th of April she became 33 years.

So congratulations, again, Anna.

Agnes and Aunty Maria have been taken a trip into the little wood behind Anna and Ronnies house where all the lovely Wood Anemones are.

Tintin is expolring the grass. Great-grandfather Sune and Mommy Anna has picked Wood Anemones. The stick belongs to great-grandmother Signe.

Yesterday we celebrated Maria's 26th birtday!
I'm sorry that I didn't blogged about that yesterday! I was so very, very tired after my ordeal with my aching tooth, that I hardly could sit still :-/

Yesreday, Saturday 8th, Bertil and I were invited to see Maria's workplace at Hemocue in Ängelholm.
They had arranged a round with questions that everybody should go because in that way we saw the whole place in the same time as we attended this competition.
(Really don't know if there's any prizes in that competition).
After the quiz we enjoyed a very tasty barbecue buffet.
All in all we had a very nice afternoon and it was very interesting to see what Maria is doing at work.
She's working at the hemoglobin department were they are making the cuvetts for hemoglobin tests.

Gott Nytt År!

Happy New Year everybody!
I hope your Holidays have been joyful. I have had a very nice and calm Christmas and New Year together with my closest family, except for our dear Maria. She’s on a great journey to New Zealand. She left the 30th of December, so she missed Agnes second birthday on New Years Eve, but I’m sure she will celebrate her when she’s coming back.

Within the nearest days Maria is going to meat up with her cousin Elisabet, who has been in New Zealand since the end of September. She’s working at a big farm where they breed sheep. She‘s got a lot of new friends and what I can understand, she’s not having a boring moment. That’s a girl who knows how to have an interesting and fun life.

Maria’s little kitten Vincent is living with Anna, Agnes and Ronnie while she’s away, and what I have seen, he’s very satisfied with that.

The winter here seems to have gone somewhere else this season. They have a ski slope http://www.vallasen.se/ not far from here and it’s partly artificial. They make snow with big snow canons, but to do that you have to have temperatures below zero, and it hasn’t been that yet this winter.
I think they have to bet on a water slide instead. I don’t think that I ever have experienced a more rainy winter than this. It’s almost raining every day. I think we can count the sunny days on our two hands.

This afternoon we have celebrated Maria’s birthday. She will be 25 the 21st of December. She’s working night the 21st, that’s why we celebrated her today.
As usually she had baked all sorts of yummy chocolate cakes, cupcakes (muffins) Lucia buns (Lussekatter) and a meringue (maräng) cake with whipped cream and lemon mousse on top.

Yesterday it was the day that we celebrated Lucia here in Sweden, and this
is the little Lucia girl attendant that came and visited us yesterday evening.
