Kusinbarn - sysslingar

Sju stycken kusinbarn träffades den 21 maj hemma hos mormor Marie-Louise på hennes födelsedag. Det som var extra roligt den dagen, förutom mammas födelsedag, var att lilla Leah var med. Leah bor med sin mamma och pappa i Nya Zealand och är "hemma" i Sverige på besök.

Ebba, Elvira, Felisia och lilla Allis i mormor Margaretas famn. Sedan har vi mina två små barnbarn Agnes och Tintin med mamma Anna i bakgrunden. Sist men inte minst mormor Mia med lilla Leah på höften.
Som syns på bilden så var det inte lätt att få alla telningar att titta åt mitt håll i några sekunder och inte heller kunde de vara stilla :)
Förutom de här sju kusinbarnen så finns det ytterligare 12 stycken kusinbarn som inte var med på träffen. De bor lite utspridda från Malmö i söder till Stockholm i norr, och de barnen som är med på bilden bor alla på Bjärehalvön, utom Leah då förstås.
Sammanlagt är vi 6 syskon som har 15 barn. De i sin tur har sammanlagt 19 barn (senast jag räknade) .

Yesterday

Yesterday was Anna's 35th birthday!

I haven't forgotten her, but I haven't had time to blog about it until now ;-)

One day late

Yesterday it was Maria's 28th birthday.

I didn't forgot Maria yesterday, I just forgot to tell the world that she had her birthday =))).

We celebrated Maria this last Sunday afternoon home at her place. She had made "Lussekatter" - Lucia cats - saffron buns and a lovely chocolate cake (Not the one on the picture, that one I've nicked someplace at the Internet).

I hope you had a wonderful day even though it was the shortest day of the year -The winter solstice.

Sune's 90th Birthday!

Sune is my father-in-law, and yesterday he had his 90th birthday. He had his anniversary celebration at restaurant Hovs Hallar.
We had a nice afternoon with good Christmas food, Swedish Christmas Smorgasbord, and all his relatives were gathered together.

If I get that old, I hope that I will be as bright in my brain and "young" in my body and mind as they are. Of course they both have their ailments. Sune's eye sight is bad, he's blind on one eye and Signe has some difficulties to walk because she's broken her legs a couple of times. Otherwise they are healthier than most people at their age.

New Things

Yesterday and today I’ve bought my self some late Birthday presents. Bertil never gives me any Birthday –or Christmas gifts so I buy them my self. It’s better that way, then I will get what I really want to have ;-)
Today I went to Ängelholm and bought a pair of sandals, and yesterday I bought a pair of Fit Over Sunglasses. I have incipient cataract, so I’ve to protect, cover and take care of my eyes when I’m in the sun. I think these Polaroid Sunglasses are a very good investment. Perhaps they look a little bit big, but so what! The main thing is that sun doesn’t reach my eyes.
Actually it was my “big” sister Margareta that first had bought a pair of Fit Over’s, so I copied her.

Today it’s Bertil’s 62nd birthday, so Happy Birthday!
He didn’t want to be celebrated, so this day has been a day as any other day. Of cores he has had some phone calls from close relatives, and a post card from old friends, but nothing else.
No birthday cake or birthday gifts. Very boring in my opinion, but that’s how he wanted to have his day.

New Years Eve - Agnes 4th Birthday!

New Years Eve it was Agnes fourth birhday and she was celebrated the whole day long. There were lots of friends and relatives that wanted to congratulate her.

My Birthday - Already Again!

Tonight me and my "old" girlfriends where out eating and celebrating my birthday (today), their birthdays have already been or will be coming up soon.

Old and Young

Yesterday, 19th, Anna celebrated her birthday. The 17th of April she became 33 years.

So congratulations, again, Anna.

Agnes and Aunty Maria have been taken a trip into the little wood behind Anna and Ronnies house where all the lovely Wood Anemones are.

Tintin is expolring the grass. Great-grandfather Sune and Mommy Anna has picked Wood Anemones. The stick belongs to great-grandmother Signe.

Happy Birthday Bertil!

Today it is Bertil’s 61st birthday. We - me, Maria, Anna, Ronnie, Agnes and little Tintin celebrated him yesterday evening.
We ordered pizza, not the most common birthday dinner perhaps, but we just made it simple and easy.
As dessert we had a birthday cake and coffee. We had a nice and well balanced evening, only with our family. Bertil wasn’t up for some big celebration this year.

Friday afternoon the surgeon from Lund that made the surgery on Bertil exactly two weeks ago todday, phoned and told us the result of the tissue biopsy and that was not what we wanted to hear. No good news at all. The tumor was cancer, and it’s possible that it will return some day.
So, now he will get a new appointment to see the doctor right after Easter.

The treatments he will get are radiation and cell toxins/cytostatic in tablet form. He already knows how it is to get radiation.

Today it is exactly eight years since his last radiation period (six weeks) ended. On his birthday!
He has a very rough time ahead of him…again!

Not much we can do about this situation, just accept it and take every day as it comes.
At the moment Bertil is feeling alright, and the wound is healing nicely.

Agnes - Three Years Old Today!

LOTS OF CONGRATULATIONS TO LITTLE AGNES TODAY!

Today it's Agnes third birthday and we, Bertil and I, went over and celebrated her for a short while this afternoon.
Both Agnes and Tintin is sick with colds. Agnes is much better today and so is little Tintin too, but far from well.
Even though they both have a stubborn cough they are smiling like they always do :-)

And here's little Tintin safe in Daddies knee. Very tired but not able to settle down and take a nap because of his coughing and all the phlegm in his little nose and throat.
